The 30 deaf young people who participated in this project received Youthpass certificate.

The participants developed the following competences during the Youth Exchange :

  1. COMMUNICATION IN MOTHER TONGUE
  • learning new signs and ways to express new concepts
  • contributing to a suggested signed of terms for future use in production of theatre and performance
  • learning about my own langiage and how it compares to another European sign language
  • being creative in anasying my sign language and how to form new signs in technical theatre
  1. COMMUNICATION IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE
  • understanding some Romanian or British sign language and using it in practical terms and social situations
  • comparing both languages, identify similarities and differences
  1. MATHEMATICAL COMPETENCE AND BASIC COMPETENCES IN SCIENCE AND TEHNOLOGY
  • being aware of using problem solving skills
  • using technology to help solve a problem
  • feeling more confident in contributing ideas to help solve a problem
  1. DIGITAL COMPETENCE
  • using social media as a communication tool
  • using technology and specialized software to create special effects in theatre performances
  1. LEARNING TO LEARN
  • increased awareness and taking responsibility for my own lerning
  • awareness of different ways to record learning
  • analysing ways in wich new learning has developed skills
  • comparing skills before and after a learning has developed experience
  • evaluating learning using dialogue
  1. SOCIAL AND CIVIC COMPETENCES
  • understanding different cultural backgrounds
  • using knowledge of differnet approaches to creative performances
  • participating and contributing to civic life al a local, regional, national and European/Global level
  1. SENSE OF INITIATIVE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
  • preseting ideas in a creative way
  • taking risks and realizing that this can be a positive contribution when working in a team
  • identifying strengths and incorporating them in a creative manner
  1. CULTURAL AWARENESS AND EXPRESION
  • comparing and discussing similarities and differences in the Romanian/Scottish cultures
  • evidencing learning about the city of Glasgow/Craiovaexpressing knowledge about the historical differences between Roamnian and Scottish culture
  • ability to discuss the differences in the Deaf community in each country.
